Application Information

To apply for the Mafia, please post a thread in this forum in the format below. Title it with your characters name, level and class. If you do not follow this format, it will be deleted. If you cannot follow instructions on how to apply, how can you follow instructions in a raid?

Each class has one or two recruiters who represent them at any given time. For inquiries about The Mafia, what is expected and your recruitment status, contact your respective officer(s). Discussions about recruitment, comments about applicants and status inquiries are not to be posted in this forum.

Requirements

1. All applicants are expected to be able to raid 2-3 nights a week, from 6:00P to 9:00PM Pacific Standard Time. Our scheduled raiding days are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. We sometimes use Friday's to finish up instances and usually have a few 10-mans on the weekend. However we are NOT a weekend raiding guild. If we raid on the weekends it is unscheduled and most likely a mix of alts and mains. If you can not guarantee 75% raid attendance for mon-wed please do not apply. In addition, once recruited, players need to go to the raid signup form and sign up for the raids posted for the week.

3. All applicants must have First Aid and a flying mount.

4. All applicants are expected to fully understand how to install, update, and utilize OMEN or KLH Threat Monitor. Caster classes need to be able to setup their raid ui to monitor debuffs and remove them. Full mastery of CTRA/Xperl/or Your raid UI is a requirement. Currently Required mods are:

5. All applicants are required to use Ventrilo with a working microphone for voice communication.

6. All applicants must be willing to respec to the talents we desire. If you value your preferred playstyle over that of what the guild desires, then this is not the guild for you. Mafia's success stems from the sacrifices made from each individual member.

7. Mafia usually conducts participation reviews every month to determine how many available spots we have within each class. Although we have very low turnover compared to other guilds, spots do open up from time to time. Upon finalizing our class needs for the month, class officers routinely go through each and every application on our forum to form a list of names for interviews. They will then attempt to contact those people who have placed applications on our forums for a short interview to determine how many applicants are granted trial periods. Please do not be alarmed if no one has contacted you immediately after posting your application. All of us will have seen it and will respond to you when opportunities arise.

The better you describe yourself and the more in-depth you go, the more likely the class officers will take a closer look at the application and grant you a spot.

Applicant Information
Please answer the following sections. As stated before, the better you describe yourself and the more indepth you go, the more likely the class officers will take a closer look at the application and grant you a spot.

Guild History
What guilds have you been in? If a server transfer, please state the reason for your transfer. If you are in a guild currently, please state the reason for leaving.

Raiding History
Please list your raid experience. What did you see in vanilla WoW? In BC? How far have you progressed in WotLK?

Personal Statement
1. What is it that you like about World of Warcraft?
2. Why do you want to join The Mafia?
3. Describe a bit about yourself so we can get to know you better. We like to recruit the players behind the toons, not the toons themselves.

When you create a thread, you will not be able to edit it once it has been posted. You can however reply to your thread and add any changes as necessary. The only people allowed to respond in this thread are the applicant and recruitment officers.
