Mission:Our mission is to establish a strong and formidable presence within the world of Darkfall by fiercely competing through physical, economical, and political warfare.
Gaming Experience:The Mafia currently has divisions in Warhammer Online, World of Warcraft, and CoD4. We've participated in games such as Ultima Online, Dark Ages of Camelot, Shadowbane, Counter-Strike, World in Conflict, Team Fortress 2, and Pirates of the Burning Sea. Over our 12 year history, we've been involved in many games across all fronts, in and out of ladder/league play.
Launch Plans:Our launch plans will be similar to those we've used in UO, SB, & DAoC. We will enter Agon functioning as a collective, filtering our resources to our dedicated crafters, in order to quickly obtain the means for city creation and high quality equipment. During this time we will explore the world in order to find ourselves the most optimal location to build our guild city. Upon determining a city location, we plan to build and heavily fortify our city. Given the chaotic landscape anticipated in Agon at launch, we hope to capitalize upon the confusion and prepare ourselves before any formidable threat emerges. Once we've secured ourselves a portion of the world, we intend to secure control of all resources within our given area to make ourselves a major player in the economic market.
We seek to quickly establish a military presence and reputation by drawing upon our vast PvP experience. From the start, we plan to explore the PvP system to plan out the utmost efficient skill builds and perfect our PvP tactics. We plan to be a major player in the Game of Thrones within the political landscape while dominating the local PvP scene in order to establish control of the resources within the area.
The Mafia's Darkfall Philosophy:The Mafia sees itself as a self sustaining entity. We do not care for others nor do we expect any sort of good will in return. All members are expected to put the guild before all else. Do not join us if you afraid of going "red" within the alignment system if orders are given to PK anyone we deem necessary to die. Do not join us if you wish to be e-popular with the game itself. Join us if you want to be part of a guild that seeks to achieve success and looks down upon mediocrity.
Our members do not take themselves seriously. However, we take our gaming seriously. Do not join us if you're easily offended, require a nurturing environment to "emotionally grow", or if you're a drama queen. Do join us if you would like to enjoy the company of like minded adult gamers who seek to have fun ( while kicking ass). Do not join us if you're immature, stubborn, or figure yourself to be God's Gift to Gaming. Join us if you're the type that strives for success, enjoys a good laugh amongst friends, and loves to kick ass in game and in your real professional life.
The Mafia expects its applicants to:1: Work TogetherDarkfall is a guild/team-based game. If we can't work together efficiently as a team, we will not succeed. Darkfall's harsh environment requires that guild operates in an efficient manner to remain competitive. If you're a lone wolf, loner, hermit, loser, columbine kid wannabe; don't apply.
2: Consider the needs of the guild firstMembers must be considerate to the needs of the guild in order to achieve our collective goals. Members will be expected to put the needs and goals of the guild above their individual pursuits - our achievements will be celebrated as a guild. We win as a guild; we lose as a guild. If you're more interested in "phat loots", "e-fame", or any other dumbfuck goal, then save yourself the time and don't bother applying.
3: Show camaraderie with the existing membersAn applicant may have everything it takes within the game of Darkfall to be an awesome asset to the guild. However, unless the applicant works hard at getting to know their fellow guild members, then they'll continue to remain an awesome player in Darkfall... just not within The Mafia. TM does not let anyone in whom we wouldn't have a beer with.
4. Keep drama/whining/bitching to a minimum.The Mafia is a guild comprised of mostly older gamers. We do not tolerate drama within our ranks. Any sort of drama is expected to be squashed in a civil, private manner. Members causing problems with other guild members will be removed, no questions asked. You will be killed. You will be looted. You will be teabagged. You should take it offensively and seek to do the same to the offending player. However, if you're going to bitch and whine about getting ganked, looted, and teabagged; then you don't have the testicular fortitude to survive in a game like Darkfall. If that's you, do us a favor (heck do yourself a favor) and just quit the game now. Most of us already have enough drama in our real lives with our significant others. If we wanted to wallow in bitching, drama, and hair pulling, we'd do it real life where we'd at least get angry, make-up sex afterward.
5. Respect the requests of officers and guild leaders.We are here to achieve guild-oriented goals. All applicants are expected to do their best to cooperate with leadership and effect the plan of action laid upon them. If you got beef or feel slighted because upper management didn't take your suggestion into consideration, then vent afterward either in Ventrilo or within the private member forums. In the mean time, have a nice cup of STFU and follow the command through. If leadership asks you to jump, you yell "how high."
6: Remember, first and foremost, we are all here to have fun, kick ass, and take names.In every single MMO, TM has prided itself on being considered by the entire server was one of the most skilled and dominant PvP guilds. We have a tradition of excellence and we intend to uphold it within Darkfall. However, we do realize that this is a game. We don't expect you to win every PvP encounter nor to play perfectly every single time they log on. However, we do stress that everyone puts forward their best effort. We'll tolerate inadequacy, but we won't tolerate incompetence nor carelessness. So, join TM if you want to have fun, kick ass, and link people their gear we looted from them after having PK'ed them 15 minutes prior.
